A Wedding Written in Stars: Styled Celestial & Grandmillenial Shoot

There are two new wedding trends on the rise: celestial and grandmillenial. The grandmillenial trend is all about mixing classic and timeless decor, trinkets, and charm with a modern twist. Think needlepoint handkerchiefs with scalloped trim, your grandmother’s China and wicker furniture meet a preppy 2022. The concept of the Celestial trend offers decor inspired by astronomy, stars, and the sky. Plus, what could be more glamorous than marrying under the stars in a celestial shoot? Move over sparklers, the night sky, and stars are the new send-off backdrop. 

We decided that for our first styled shoot of 2022, we needed to feature both styles and showcase vendors who are not only flexible in the various trends and couple requests but also show you the options available for couples specifically seeking either a celestial or grandmillennial shoot. Both shoots were planned by Diane Wolk of Bustled Events who prepared The Pavilion at Carriage Farm with florals from FauxReal Flowers. Dresses for our models were from Simply Blush Bridal and Jos A. Banks provided the suits. Our grandmillenial styled shoot featured photography by K.G. Photography, dessert by Confectionate Cakes and the celestial photos were shot by Christobal of Azul Photography and custom desserts from Banko Bake.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The styled shoot took place at The Pavilion at Carriage Farm which is a beautiful, elegant venue surrounded by rolling hills and lush pastures. The Pavilion has a beautiful glass conservatory and a pergola behind the venue. This was the perfect setting for our grandmillenial shoot. We used a mix of classic and modern elements to style the space. The wicker furniture, needlepoint pillows, and China brought in the traditional elements while the faux florals, greenery, and pastel colors gave it a modern twist. We started with the grandmillenial shoot in the morning and then moved into the evening for the celestial themed shoot.  The Pavilion has a beautiful glass conservatory which was the perfect setting for our grandmillenial shoot. We used a mix of classic and modern elements to style the space. The wicker furniture, needlepoint pillows, and China brought in the traditional elements while the fresh florals, greenery, and pastel colors gave it a modern twist. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For the celestial shoot, we used The Pavilion’s outdoor ceremony space which has a gorgeous view. We brought in star lanterns and hanging crystals to decorate the ceremony space and set up a lounge area with couches and pillows for our couple to relax under the stars. The dessert was a custom moon and stars cake from Banko Bake.
