The boho-inspired wedding trend certainly is up and coming for 2022. The style focuses on self-expression, and many couples are drawn to this theme because of the creativity that accompanies it. While this theme thrives on simplicity, it can also be elegant when done well.
Forever & Company wanted to show off the soft, romantic and whimsical vibes in this boho cottage-core styled shoot. We hope you love it as much as we do!
The Boho Backdrop
The boho trend is all about natural and neutral. Vintage barns, lush meadows, natural foliage, a woodland ambiance, mountain views or even a delicate riverside. Many couples choose to have an outdoor altar for their ceremony, which is a perfect complement to a scenic location. If you opt for an indoor wedding, or if you want to prepare for the possibility of inclement weather, a barn or farm venue falls right into the boho-chic vibe — you can even opt for a cozy tent.
When we think boho chic, we automatically think of the Chandelier Event Venue located in Cary, North Carolina. This venue provides the perfect mixture of gorgeous outdoor and rustic indoor spaces for your boho wedding. We loved watching our couples explore the beautiful Chandelier spaces for this shoot.
Working with real couples always brings the magic. Heather and Kam, are anything but traditional and they enjoy doing things their own way!
Freddy and Rachel believe that relationships are a journey and not a destination.

It’s All in the Details
To add details to your boho wedding, try incorporating wooden signs to draw on the nature themes. Decorate with fresh, neutral flowers or lace, and include colors like dusty rose, tan and sage. For invites, signs and menus, a modern, natural script font matches the organic and minimalist vibe perfectly.
If you want to create that “mood lighting,” include rustic lanterns and twinkly lights. The team at Ezer Photo captured the warm glow both inside and outside perfectly, setting the scene for a boho wedding of our dreams.

On the Menu
For the menu, consider fresh and simple meals with a focus on local ingredients and fresh herbs, like these rustic plated meals from our friends at Fluent N’ Food, the premier in-house caterer for the Chandelier Event Venue. We love the natural accents the fresh flowers and sprouts add to the plate – you can never have too much greenery at a boho wedding.
- Gold Crusted Filet, Lemon Grilled Asparagus, Horse Radish Mashed Potatoes in a Bordelaise Sauce.
- Golded French Chicken thighs, Lemon Rosemary Roasted Potatoes, Bacon Braised Brussels Sprouts with a Honey Dijon Glaze.
